VIXEN Vodka

Executive Summary

Vixen Vodka launched in the state of Georgia in late November 2012. The vodka is distilled by Mile High Spirits in Colorado. Vixen is now also selling in South Carolina, West Virginia,

Tennessee and Colorado as well. The brand is licensed as a special order in the control state of Mississippi and is also licensed in Texas, Minnesota and upstate New York. Vixen Vodka has its federal permit, is trademarked and licensed.

Vixen Vodka has created a strong presence in not only its home state of Georgia, but also surrounding states with a very minimal investment in advertising, marketing, promotions and social media. The team has proven the concept of Vixen Vodka; that a female-focused brand has a place in the spirits industry and has the potential to rapidly grow into a call brand for women. Additionally, this team has already taken steps to put brand extensions in place, including merchandise, publishing, entertainment, and Ready-to-Drink (RTD) proprietary cocktails (see appendix for further information).

Vixen Vodka was conceived on a girls' trip to St. Simons Island in Georgia. It was a spark of realization that the spirit industry only targeted and marketed to men and assumed that women would come along for the ride. It was an ‘aha’ moment where it was realized that men order by brand and women order by drink. Why? Because women don’t have a call brand. A true 80 proof vodka that mixes with anything or nothing. It was this idea that took root and took hold of these friends who wanted to make a difference in their lives; who wanted to take control, and inspire other women to take a chance on their own dreams and big ideas as well.
